Pauri is a hill station town situated at an altitude of around 1,814 meters in Pauri Garhwal district, Uttarakhand state, India. The city offers an excellent view of the snow-covered Himalayan mountains.

Himalayan mountain peaks like Nanda Devi, Trisul, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Kharcha Kund, Chaukhamba, etc, can be seen here. You can trek to nearby Deodar or pine forests and listen to birds chirping.
This city and surrounding areas offer much to paragliding, trekking, and adventure sports. Chaukhamba View Point is around five kilometers from the city center. Tara Kund, the highest tourist spot, is at an altitude of 2250 meters.
Kandoliya Temple, Hanuman Mandir, Nag Dev Mandir, Kyunkaleshwar Temple, Laxmi Narayan Temple, Sita Mata Temple, etc, are some of the temples here. More than 100-year-old Methodist Church is there at Chopra. Catholic Church is there at Gadoli.
How Do I Go to Pauri?
This hill station town is connected to other parts of the country by NH 119. Buses are available to other cities of the state. There are regular buses from New Delhi to Kotdwar and Pauri.
Kotdwar railway station, at around 100 kilometers distance, is the nearest major railway station, which is well connected with other major cities of the country. Jolly Grant Airport at Dehradun is the nearest airport at around 155 kilometers distance.
