About Brindavan Gardens
Brindavan Gardens, or Brindavan, is one of the most famous gardens in South India. The Garden is situated at Mysore, in the state of Karnataka. The garden is built on the foot of the Krishnarajasagara dam, across the Kaveri river. The Garden work was started in 1927 and was completed in 1932. Around 20 lacks tourists visit Brindavan every year.
Brindavan is spread across an area of around Sixty Acres of Land. The Garden is well maintained by ‘Cauvery Niravari Nigama’ (Cauvery Irrigation Department), a Karnataka Government enterprise. A Fruit orchard spread across 75 acres of land is next to the Brindavan Garden.
There are two horticultural farms situated close to the Garden at Mysore. One is Nagavana Farm, spread across 30 acres of land. The second one is Chandravana Farm, spread across 5 acres of land.
The garden is laid as a layer of 3 terraces. Water fountains are the main specialty of this garden, along with beautiful flowering plants and foliage plants. Shrubs are clipped in the shape of animals. Passageways are shaped into pergolas. Topiary plants add beauty to the park. Gazebos across the garden give a wide view of the gardens.

Musical Fountain & Boating
The musical fountain is the main attraction of the Brindavan Gardens. Fountain waters are synchronized to the music. The musical garden opens in the evening and is much enjoyed by the tourists. This musical fountain inside the Brindavan Gardens is South India’s famous garden with a musical fountain. It is also one of the best places to visit in Mysore.
Boating facilities are available in the Lake inside the Gardens.

Week Days from 6.00 am to 8.00 pm
Music Fountain Show Timings:
Weekdays from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm.
Saturdays and Sundays from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm.
The Entry fee for Indians at the Brindavan is ₹100 for adults and ₹50 for children (3-6 years). Foreign Tourists have slightly different entry fee. Parking fee for cars is ₹100 and ₹20 for two-wheelers. (fee updated in 2025)
