Aquatic Kingdom is at the entrance to the Bengaluru City Railway Station. Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna Railway Station Bangalore, or KSR Bengaluru Station, is the other name for this railway station. This aquarium is movable. i.e., It can be dismantled and assembled at a different location.
Inaugurated on the 1st of July 2021, this 12-foot-long tunnel movable aquarium attracts many visitors. It has rare species of fish and exotic marine plants. It is also a Paludarium; i.e., It is a living ecosystem with fishes, crabs, mosses, plants, etc., with water, air, rocks, etc.
This aquarium was developed by the Indian Railway Stations Development Corporation Limited (IRSDCL) in collaboration with HNI Aquatic Kingdom. This aquarium in the Bangalore city railway station has a 20 feet glass periphery. Furthermore, it is the railways’ first and only aquatic kingdom in India.
Large murals are there at the entrance to the city railway station aquarium. The Octopus mural is there above the doorway. Murals of Dolphins are there on either side of the aquarium. Additionally, murals of Oysters, jellyfish, starfish, and Turtle are inside the doorway. Also, Warli paintings adorn the walls of this movable aquarium at the Bangalore City Railway Station entrance.
There are more than 120 varieties of fish in this aquarium. Moreover, you can see Alligator gars, stingrays, sharks, shrimps, snails, lobsters, etc.
The entry fee is Rs. 25 per person. The main attraction here is the 3D selfie area. Moreover, you can take a selfie with a big fish in your background. Aquatic Kingdom at Bangalore City railway station entrance is open from 9 am to 9 pm.
