Tirathgarh Falls is one of Chhattisgarh’s most breathtaking natural wonders, where the River Mahanadi cascades down a series of wide, stepped rock formations deep within the forests of Bastar. This waterfall is also known as Milky Fall because of the color of the fall. It is in the color of milk when it falls from 100 meters height. It is a three-tier fall.

Tirathgarh has a  temple which is dedicated to Shiva Parvati, which attracts a lot of tourists. There are many stalactite caves, which also attract many tourists.

Tirathgarh Waterfalls, amid lush green forests, is four kilometers from the Kanger Valley alias Kanger Ghati National Park entrance. You have to drive through the thick, dense forest to reach the fall. It is one of the best natural scenery you can see in India. You have to climb downstairs to see the first view of the fall. Again, going down the stairs, you have an entirely different view of the fall, where you can take a rejuvenating bath in the Milky Falls!

Water falling from a nearby lake, with a height of more than 300 feet, on the river Mugabaha amid the lush green forests is the beauty of the falls. This fall is a nearby fall to Chitrakote Falls in Bastar district.

Reaching Tirathgarh falls in Chhattisgarh

Tirathgarh Waterfalls Chhattisgarh is 38 kilometers from Jagdalpur city, an hour’s drive, in Bastar district in the Eco-tourism area of Kanger Valley National Park. Jagdalpur is well connected to cities like Hyderabad and Raipur by bus and to Visakhapatnam by train on the Kirandul  Vishakhapatnam Line. Raipur is about 285 kilometers from the falls. This falls on the state highway connecting Jagdalpur and Sukma.
