Thusharagiri waterfalls are located near Kodencherry town. Kodencherry is close to Thamarassery in Kozhikode District of Kerala State, India.

Thusharagiri means ‘snow-capped or misty mountain’ in the local language, Malayalam. These falls is the meeting point of two streams that originate in the western ghats. These two streams combine and form the Chalippuzha River from this meeting point. The Chalippuzha diverges into Three waterfalls, resulting in a snow-filled spray, thus getting its name.

These waterfalls offer trekking and rock-climbing close to the river path and waterfalls.

The Kerala state forest department near the waterfalls runs a crocodile farm.

Thusharagiri waterfalls have an essential place on the Kerala tourism map.

How do I go to Thusharagiri waterfalls?

This waterfall is at a distance of around 11 kilometers from Kodencherry town. Thamarassery town is at a distance of around 17 kilometers from the falls. The scenic “Thamarassery Churam” or Thamarassery Pass” is on the Kozhikode – Mysore National Highway 212, which passes through Wayanad.

Kozhikode (previously known as Calicut) town is around 50 kilometers from these beautiful waterfalls. The nearest railway station is located in Kozhikode town.

The nearest airport is Karippur, around 28 kilometers from Kozhikode (Calicut) town. This airport is known as Calicut International Airport (IATA code is CCJ) and is also known as Karipur Airport.
