Padmavathi Temple, alias Padmavathi Mandir or Padmavathi Koil, is a famous temple at Tiruchanur or Tiruchanoor. It is located five kilometers away from the world-famous temple town of Tirupathi. This temple is also known as Padmavathi Ammavari Temple.
This temple is known for its architectural splendor. The temple has a Mandapam (hall) with 16 pillars. Bhajantri mela ( a type of Indian musical performance ) is conducted here.
The following are the main Seva (pooja or prayers) at this temple. ‘Asta Dala Padava Padmaradhana’ Seva is conducted on Mondays. ‘Thiruppavadai’ Seva is conducted on Thursdays. ‘Abhisekam’ is on Fridays. ‘Pushpanjali’ Seva is offered on Saturdays.
This temple at Tiruchanur, or Tiruchanoor, is dedicated to Goddess Padmavathi alias Alamelumanga. Goddess Padmavathi is the consort of Lord Venkateswara, the deity at Tirupathi temple. Padmavathi is believed to be the incarnation of the goddess Lakshmi. The deity here faces the eastern direction. This temple is under the administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD ).

Goddess Lakshmi’s incarnation of Padmavathi is the main deity here. Goddess Padmavathi is manifested in Padmasarovaram, the temple tank, as a golden Lotus flower on the day ‘Sukla Paksha Panchami’ during the local month of Kartheeka.

Sri Sundararaja Swamy Temple
Sri Sundararaja Swamy Temple is believed to be built in the 16th century. This temple is also known as Sri Varadaraja Swami Temple. Sri Devi and Bhu Devi, the two concerts of the Lord Vishnu as Lord Sundararaja Swamy, is the deity here. There are stone inscriptions in the temple that date back to 1541 AD and 1547 AD, telling about the Rathotsav Festival of Sri Varadaraja Swami and Brahmotsavam. Rathotsav is a temple festival in which devotees pull the temple car. Brahmotsavam is the most important festival in Tirupathi and allied temples.
Sri Krishna Swamy Temple
Sri Krishna Swamy Temple is believed to be built in 1221 AD. The deity at this temple is Lord Krishna.
Sri Suryanarayana Swamy Vari Temple in Padmavathi Temple Complex
Sri Suryanarayana Swamy Vari Temple is located on the opposite side of Pushkarini. Pushkarini means the Temple Tank. This temple is dedicated to Lord Suryanarayana. Devotees can offer Abhishekam (bathing of the deity with milk) on Sundays, at 7 am. The tickets for the same can be bought on Saturdays, at 8 am. You must approach the Canara Bank, Tiruchanoor branch on Saturday morning, with the application form and your Identity Proof, to book tickets for the Abhishekam. Abhishekam is an hour-long pooja (prayer). Devotes conducts Abhishekam at this temple related to career growth, employment, childbirth, the right bride or groom, etc.

The famous Padmavathi Koil (Koil in the Tamil Language means temple) is situated at Tiruchanoor alias Tiruchanur. This town is 5 kilometers from Tirupathi on the foothills of the famous Tirumala Venkateswara Temple alias Tirupathi temple.
