Yamunotri is the source of the holy river Yamuna. It is the seat of the Goddess Yamuna, as per Hinduism. It is situated at 10,804 ft above sea level in the Garhwal Himalayas.  Yamunotri is located approximately 30 kilometers north of Uttarkashi, in Uttarakhand State, India.

Gangotri is a Hindu pilgrim town on the banks of the river Bhagirathi in Uttarakhand State. Gangotri is the origin of the River Ganges. It is also the seat of the goddess Ganga, as per Hinduism.

Kedarnath is among the holiest pilgrimage centers for any devout Hindu. It is in the Himalayas at the head of the Mandakini River. Kedar is another name for Lord Shiva, the protector & the destroyer of the universe, as per Hinduism.

Badrinath is considered the most sacred center of pilgrimage for Hindus, situated in the Himalayan Region in the state of Uttarakhand. Badrinath is located at an altitude of more than 10,000 feet above sea level. The route to Badrinath is one of the most scenically beautiful places in the world.

Haridwar is regarded as one of the seven holiest places for the Hindus. It is in the Haridwar district of Uttarakhand state, India.

Rishikesh is located in the foothills of the Himalayas in northern India.  Rishikesh is situated in the Dehradun district in the state of Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand is known as “The Gateway to the Himalayas”. The word Rishikesh means Lord of Senses or Lord Vishnu.

Where Do I Start My Pilgrimage?

Dehradun, the capital city of Uttarakhand state, serves as the main access point for the pilgrims. Please get in touch with your travel agent, as this may vary for some of the travel agencies. The nearest airport is the Jolly Grant Airport at Dehradun.
