Mysore Palace or the ‘Amba Vilas Palace’ as it is known officially, is the official residential palace of the Wodeyars, the erstwhile royal family of the Princely state of Mysore in Karnataka State, India.

Amba Vilas Palace is one of the many Palaces found in and around Mysore. It is a major tourist attraction which is a three-storied stoned structure that blends together Hindu, Muslim, Rajput and Gothic styles of architecture. Amba Vilas Palace at Mysore is considered as a masterpiece of Indo Saracenic architecture.

On the tenth day of Dasara festival, there is a parade with caparisoned elephants and other floats, which make it very colorful and is now an integral part of Mysore culture and is a highlight of the Karnataka tourism festival.
