Chitrakoot Falls is in the Bastar district of Chhattisgarh state in India.

Chitrakoot Falls alias Chitrakote Falls is  known as the Niagara Falls of India as it is the broadest water fall in India. Indians can visit  mini Indian Niagara falls without a visa while foreigners need an India visa.

Chitrakut Falls is in the midst of dense forests in Indravathi river, a tributary of River Narmada. Height of the fall is around 93 feet.

The breadth of the Indian Niagara falls varies according to seasons and is the maximum during monsoon season when it sound wild. In summer season, Chitrakut Falls width decreases drastically. The color of the fall also changes with season. Chitrakoot Falls is slit colored during monsoon and is clear during summer season.

Chitrakoot Falls or the Indian Niagara falls, is at a distance of around 50 kilometers from Jagdalpur which is very well connected to the rest of the state. Visakhapatnam is around 350 kilometers from Chitrakoot falls.
