Golconda Fort is a 13th Century mud fort famous for the Kohinoor diamonds in Telungana state in India. This  is the place where the Priceless Kohinoor Diamond was found.  Golkonda was the capital of ancient Kingdom of Golkonda.

Golconda Fort is famous for the acoustics design. Sound of hand clapped at the entrance can be heard on the top spot at a distance of one kilometer away.

There is a light and sound show at the fort in the evenings for one hour; the first show is at 7 pm on all days in November to February and second show at 8.15 pm on-wards; Telugu show on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays and  Hindi shows on other days .
