Meenmutty Falls Wayanad is located around 30 Kilometers from Kalpetta. It is in Wayanad District, Kerala State, India.  Karnataka and Tamilnadu state borders are very close to Wayanad.

Meenmutty Falls has a height of 300 meters. It is a three-tier waterfall. It is one of the best waterfalls in the Wayanad district and can be reached by trekking two kilometers from the Ooty main road.

En route to Meenmutty waterfalls is the famous Pookode Lake, which offers boating facilities. There is also a Park for kids and space for walking for those health freaks. Pookode Veterinary College, one of the two veterinary colleges in Kerala, is here in this village.

Note: There are two other waterfalls with the same name, Meenmutti Falls, in the state of Kerala. One is near the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram, and the other is inside the Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary in Kannur District.

Eddakal caves

Eddakal Caves is at a distance of 10 kilometers from Wayanad. It is a prominent nearby tourist spot. It is on the Ambukutty Mala or Ambukutty hills.

Kuruva Island

Kuruva Island in the Kabini River was another major tourist destination. Kuruva island is around 15 kilometers from Mananthavady town and 40 kilometers from Kalpetta town. Sultanbathery town is another major town around 58 kilometers away.

There are boat services that can carry six passengers to cross the river and reach the island.
