Bannerghatta National Park and Biological Park is spread over 25000 acres of forests near Bengaluru alias Bangalore in the Karnataka state of India.

Indian tigers, lions, and other animals are in this National Park.

How can the children miss the butterflies, a rare sight in today’s cities? India’s first Butterfly park is inside the Bannerghatta Biological Park. There is also a zoo and a reptile park (a separate snake park) inside the Biological Park. An independent Children’ Corner is there in the park. Boating in row and pedal boats are also available. The camera can be taken inside for a fee.

Trekking is available for those interested, covering a distance of 1 to 3.5 kilometers. There is a beautiful stream that runs through the park. Champaka Dharna Swamy temple is one of the many ancient temples in the ten reserve forests of the National Park.

Bannerghatta National Park is closed on Tuesdays.

Tickets for the Bannerghatta Zoo, Butterfly Park, and Safari are available online as a single or a separate ticket. Battery Operated Vehicles, A/c Buses, Non A/c buses, and Jeeps are available for the Safari at the Bangalore Zoo.

How Do I Go to Bannerghatta National Park and Biological Park?

Bannerghatta National Park is 22 kilometers south of Bengaluru alias Bangalore city. Bus number 365 Volvo bus goes from Majestic Kempegowda Bus Station, bus 366 from City market, and G-4 from Brigade Road junction to the National Park. These buses are there quite frequently. Bus number 368 goes from Shivaji Nagar Bus terminus to National Park. There is 364 F from Arekarae to Bannerghatta road.

Bus numbers 165, 165 B, 165 C, 165 E, 171, 171B, 171C, 171D, 171 E, 171G, 171H, and 174 are the ordinary buses that go from Majestic Kempegowda Bus Station to Bannerghatta via Marble Factories. 171 F, 171 G, 171 H, and 174 A are other ordinary buses to Bannerghatta National Park via Bangalore Christ University and Christ College from Majestic Kempegowda Bus Station. Christ University is a deemed University in Bangalore, one of the country’s best universities, near Forum Mall, Bangalore.

Bengaluru alias Bangalore is the nearest railway station to the Park. Bangalore International Airport is the nearest airport to Bannerghatta Biological Park.
