Padmavathi Temple is a temple at Tiruchanur, at 5 kilometers from the world famous temple town of Tirupathi. This temple is. dedicated to Goddess Padmavathi alias Alamelumanga, consort of Lord Venkateswara, the deity at Tirupathi temple. Padmavathi temple is under the administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam.
Goddess Lakshmi’s incarnation of Padmavathi is the main deity here. Godess Padmavathi is manifested in Padmasarovaram, the temple tank, in the form of golden Lotus flower, on the day ‘Sukla Paksha Panchami’ during the local month of Kartheeka.
Some of the other temples inside the temple complex are Sri Sundararaja Swamy Temple which is believed to be built in the 16th century & Sri Krishna Swamy Temple, believed to be built in 1221 AD. On the opposite side of the Temple Tank of Padmavathi temple, there is another temple dedicated to Lord Suryanarayana.
