Jagdish Temple is a famous 16th century Hindu temple at Udaipur, Rajasthan, India.
Built by Maharana Jagat Singh, the erstwhile rules of Udaipur. This temple is constructed in Indo-Aryan style of architecture (a combination of Maha Maru and Maru-Gurjara architecture). The temple stands on a tall terrace. The construction of the temple was completed in 1651. At the main gate, there are two huge stone elephants. 32 marble steps takes you to the main shrine.
The temple has a double-storey Hall (Mandapa in local language, Hindi). This hall has another storey tucked within the bell-roof. There is a double-story sanctum in the temple. The 79 feet high spire is decorated with sculptures of elephants, horsemen, dancers and musicians. The spire has two or more non-functional stories.
