Before the Amber fort’s main entry arch gate, is the Jal Mahal meaning water palace. This palace is situated on the Man Sagar Lake. When the lake becomes full to its capacity, only the top floor (5th Floor) stands above water. There is a roof top garden on the terrace. This palace was used by the kings during summer months, to escape from the heat waves of Rajasthan.
Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum
City Palace where the Erstwhile Royal family currently resides and the adjoining Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum are worth visiting.
