Sri Aurobindo Ashram Pondicherry is spiritual community of people established by Sri Aurobindo, at Pondicherry, in Pondicherry State (Pondicherrry being a small state is within the Tamilnadu state) of India.

After starting the Sri Aurobindo Ashram Pondicherry, Sri Aurobindo left the management to his spiritual collaborator, The Mother, and continued with his spiritual teachings work.

Sri Aurobindo Ashram is open for public from 8 am to 12 noon and from 2 pm to 5 pm everyday. Thousands of people visit Sri Aurobindo Ashram daily.

Sri Aurobindo Ashram follows a complete method of Integral Yoga to transform human nature to divine life. In Sri Aurobindo’s yoga, the highest goal is the being of one, without the renunciation of life in the world. Sri Aurobindo and The Mother’s writings are practiced to achieve this goal.

Auroville is a city developed  near to Pondicherry, in the neighboring Villupuram district of Tamilnadu state, on the vision of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, dedicated to human unity where people of all countries can live in peace and harmony. The golden metallic crystal sphere in the Ashram is the largest of such kind in the world.

Aurobindo Society is a not for profit NGO , working globally for the benefit of humanity, on the principle of the Ashramam.
